The Best Bosch MCM4100 Compact Food Processor

Review and Buying Guide of The Best Bosch MCM4100 Compact Food Processor

Pretty fantastic item. Very pleased with this product obtaining employed it a several occasions considering the fact that order, and also number of of the attachments. It would seem sound adequate to manage most duties. The only letdown is the slight plasticky appear, which leaves it searching slight cheap in the kitchen. Having said that, for the selling price, a true deal.

Very happy with this item. Right before purchasing this product or service, i seemed at heaps of testimonials on amazon, some were great, some weren't, and it took me a extended time to make up my brain. I had a extremely outdated kenwood processor which still just about worked, but it couldn't chop nuts up incredibly smaller, which i actually preferred a gadget to do. In the which magasine, i browse that the bosch processor chopped nuts up perfectly, so made a decision to risk it, regardless of the negative opinions. I am extremely pleased with it - it grates faster and better than my old kenwood (which need to be about 20 a long time old), chops up nuts seriously nicely, and does all states it will.

And it is significantly much less expensive than any other processor i have witnessed. The instruction tutorial could be clearer, but with a bit of endurance, it can be worked out.

Terrific for juicing and mixing. I don't really know how to use the rest of the gizmos. This is a fantastic piece (or need to i say items) of devices. The guidance on how to use it and what bits you should really use for what form of cooking are fairly tricky to get all around.

I use it frequently for juicing but i'm certain there are other machines out there which do a greater work with a whole lot much less faffing all-around with diverse gadgets. I also use the blender for smoothies which is great. I am still confused about what bits to use for mixing cake mixtures and/or beating egg whites and so forth. For a newbie like me, i need to be explained to accurately what is what.

Good Processor, Great Price. I recently bought this food processor after much on-line research and am pleased with it. I think it's a good product for a great price. We've already made some fantastic smoothies and i couldn't believe how fast it chopped a load of vegetables (but then my old magimax blade is very worn). I was nearly put off by comments that the instructions were hard to understand, but i didn't have any problems. All the diagrams are a bit bewildering at first, but it only takes 10 minutes of careful study to work out what they mean - i actually thought they were very straight forward. My only complaint about the product is its drawer. It doesn't really make sense to me as you can only store 6 little items in it and have to find a place for all the rest, and i'm assuming the base had to be made bigger to house it. I guess the logic is that it keeps the sharp blades safely tucked away, but they're a bit of a fiddle to get out. I think i'll probably end up devising my own storage method. I would definitely recommend this product. .

Slicer Dicer Meister. There's a lot that can be said about this food processor but most has already been said. At the price, it's difficult to fault, and the germanic thoroughness with which bosch endow all their products means it's unlikely to fail in the near future. It comes with sufficient attachments to prepare meals for the eighth army and all are equally bewildering to a mere male but it does appear that they've thought of just about every contingency. The manual that accompanies it is in black and white and is the usual multi- language, multi-model booklet which explains functions through a series of largely incomprehensible line drawings but fret not, as no more than an advanced degree in engineering is needed before you can make your first chips. And it does, indeed, make chips. The first outing was today, having pored over the manual for a few days and we made a salad, which required a fair bit of slicing and dicing. The first impression was that it wasn't going to be quite as effective as the old kenwood, but that was an error. The machine is, in fact, extremely effective, and produces slices which are wafer thin and gratings that are so fine they threaten to spontaneously create soup. The machine has a drawer. Oddly, this is where the most vital bits are stored, yet it's also the hardest to open. That's because there's a cunningly concealed button beneath the base unit which is so well concealed that you can't actually see it without inverting the machine. Inserting a finger to open it by feel works, however, and a drawer which rivals a japanese puzzle box for intricate interlocking appears. Al[l the mildly dangerous bits are stored here: slicers, dicers and whirly blade things that seem more suited to a horror movie than a kitchen are all stored in here out of the reach of tiny hands. The other lids, egg-whiskers, cream beaters, oddly-shaped funnels and shovers are all separate, as is the delightfully staunch liquidiser, which does exactly what its name suggests. In short, then this is a well-engineered and reasonably priced product that'll grace any kitchen, but doesn't take up a whole lot of room. .

Questions & Answers

  • Would someone please be kind enough to explain about the 'tool holder' (marked 9 in the diagram) which is supposed to fit onto the 'drive shaft'.
6th attempt to deliver answer. amazon e-mail playing up. White drive shaft is 2 part. Press hard on metal tip and inner drive shaft will unclip and slide out. Then juicer will fit. Agreed, the book is badly written.
  • how long is the guarantee
Think it is 2 years http://www.bosch-home.co.uk/customer-service/register-your-guarantee.html
  • Does this machine have an attachment for grating?
Yes it has 2, one fine and one coarse.
  • can parts of this be put in the dishwasher
    Yes
  • in Which the MCM4100GB, am not sure if this is the same model, whisks egg whites and whips cream well. Does this machine do that?
This machine is excellent - does everything it says in the instructions books - no problems with this at all and no hesitation in recommending
  • How good is it for slicing/shredding vegetables for stir fries?
No idea, sorry. It wasn't for me, it was a gift. I think it was a Which? Magazine best buy.
  • Can it be used to make curry paste (grinding both dry spices like coriander and cumin seeds, and wet ingredients like chillies, ginger and garlic?)
Simple answer - No. It will chop, slice, grate, mix which will serve your needs for wet ingredients, but not for dry spices. Would suggest that you look for a food processor with a coffee grinder attachment.
  • Can you make cakes with this food prossesor
Yes but bit of a footer to get it out of the bowl. So saying cakes were worth the effort
  • Could you tell me the cross section cut size of coarse shred? Philips coarse shred size is too small for me.
Hello M C Ooi, I hope I have measured this correctly - it about 8mm. One thing I would say however is that you have to be very, very careful and precise when you assemble the plate and cutter. If you don't have it in exactly the right place it distorts and I am currently sending for a new plate and shredder as I've managed to break it on its maiden voyage! Luckily it is only those two parts that are damaged. I was shredding onions at the time. I used to have a Magimix for years and had no problems with it but it was out of my reach, money wise, at this time. I hope this helps.
  • Can you make nut butters or peanut butter in this food processor?
I haven't made that. But made virtually every other type of sauce in it. Was a great purchase with all the attachments

Conclusion of Bosch MCM4100 Compact Food Processor

Make certain you line the arrows up. Obtained the mixer now. Assembled it and set the canine liver cake materials into it with the knife attachment and strike a trouble. Could not get the machine to change on. I admit as a guy i didn't study the guidance as it all looked relatively uncomplicated.

Altered the fuse even now nothing. Received our outdated liquidiser and moved the contents into it to blend it. Tried using the new liquidiser attachment and continue to very little could not get the device to swap on. Started off washing up the lid and discovered a smaller arrow on it. When the arrow faces forward the lid clicks into the deal with and lets the equipment know it is on. Voila equipment turns on. Very same detail with the liquidiser lid you will need to line it up to get it to click in location. One particular happier man, spouse and pet. Hope this will help other folks.

Really like it. A further instance of bosch excellence. Operates quite properly. All places absent nice and neatly, even the plug direct. All all the bits and items that come with it match within in a tiny slide out compartment.

Have not utilised every little thing still but so far no difficulties and quite happy.
