Very Pleased with This. Very pleased with this purchase. The other half started making fruit/veg smoothies using a normal blender before xmas and, after i got over the initial revulsion of the various shades of brown and green, it became part of the morning routine. So i got mrs bodgermonkey one of these as a surprise xmas pressie - the red version, so it matches my eyes most mornings. The big difference over a normal blender is -1) convienence: cleanup is very quick as you actually drink out of the blender bowl. Then if you rinse, then fill with hot water and washing up liquid and reblend, things just need a quick final rinse and you're done. It feels well designed too, for example there is no 'on' switch - just twisting the bowl onto the base automatically turns the thing on. 2) smoothness - it would appear to be far more powerful than a normal blender so the finished smoothie is far, er, smoother - particularly useful if you use nuts as the finish is much less gritty. So it makes a good smoothie, efficently. This makes you use it - for example i got home last night worn flat and starving, so did a quick smoothie to keep hunger at bay until dinner, which is probably much better for me than snacking on pork scratchings*. *other pork snacks are available.
