Questions & Answers

  • I am not very good with the sizes. Is 3.9 litre mixing bowl huge?
No it's not huge. I cook for a family of 5 and it can accommodate the quantities I prepare okay. I have filled it with 2lbs minced beef, 2 onions, a pepper, 3 cloves garlic, 4oz breadcrumbs + seasonings and other small quantities of tomato purée, etc to mix together to make a meatloaf. It was quite full and did a very good job. I've used it to make small (8oz flour) and larger (16oz flour) shortcrust pastry and the results were excellent each time. I use it for other things too and find that it works well on large and small capacity items. The bowl does not seem to be proportionally too big. The mixing tool in the centre takes up quite a bit of space as in any processor. The last thing you want is to overfill and have a mess to clean up, or the ingredients not all equally "processed" and mixed. I used to have a smaller capacity processor and I did not use it as fully as this machine for those reasons. 3.9 litres does sound a lot but it does not look that big!
  • Does this machine come with a storage facility for all the attachments.
No. I have my own box for them.
  • Can you grind spices in it
Hello PM, yes easily, although I must say I have only done it once.
  • Are the parts dishwasher safe and can the blender chop ice?
I dont have a dish washer but I think they will be ok. The blender can definitely chop ice!
  • Does the bottom of the blender detach so you can clean the blades easily?
Yup. It does detach, the instructions (or graphics) tell you to detach it to clean it after use. Need some strength though lol. Sometimes i cant get it undone but i do have problems with my left wrist and other elbow so i just rinse and wash with fairy liquid and a sponge scourer. Seems to be quite robust as i use it everyday for smoothies n soup.
  • Would this machine make nut butters easily? Thanks
Yes of course it would. It does all it claims and more.
  • what size of box would be needed to house all the tools please
about 12" square and 6" deep!
  • Hi The product info says this weighs 100kg. Surely this is a mistake? Is it easy to lift from a low cupboard onto worktop?
yes, it is a mistake. yes it is easy. not heavy at all for me.
  • Is it good to make puree for a baby (small portion)?
It was purchased as a gift. Recipient has no children so cannot ask them.
  • Is it possible to make an apple or carrot juice?
This is a blender. You can make smoothies with soft fruits- apples pears , strawberries, grapes, To make carrot juice, you need a juicer. whereby the juice is strained into liquid and the hard bits are separated. Hope it helps

Conclusion of Bosch MCM62020GB Food Processor

5 stars. Good food processor quite adaptable.

Best effective substantial processor for ice & meat & substantial portions of mixtures for the relatives. . Definitely good food processor. I bought it purely simply because 1 of the reviewers reported that it could cope with creating minced meat & crush ice and its big. I have utilised various food processors in the past and a great deal of them can not cope with meat, or it handles meat in small quantities. I have to say its pretty good for a substantial amount of food for like a household.

The blender is effective neatly despite the fact that i haven't figured out how to consider out the blade but in the blender as it looks to be a incredibly incredibly tight suit and i'm just not robust enough to get it apart. I did attempt to chop about a handful of hazelnuts as soon as. And very well i would need to have a smaller sized food processor mainly because it took permanently as the nuts bounced just about everywhere and it was not an even lower, i acquired significant lumps, modest lumps, floor hazelnuts, despite the fact that that could be because of to the huge sizing of the food processor. Potentially would have been better if i tipped the overall pouch of hazelnuts in. Total this is a pretty very fantastic food processor for a spouse and children, i make smoothies with ice and i mince meat.
