A Little Flimsy. On inspection, i noticed that these are surprisingly lightweight and feel quite flimsy. There is also a little play in the hinge which means that the two cups do not necessarily align exactly when closed. Having used a number of times now, i feel i have an understanding of their limitations. Sinking them into minced meats and closing the cups does not produce a nice round ball. Inevitably there is lots of excess meat hanging out the sides of the closed cups. You therefore still need to roll each ball between your hands to make them a nice even shape. However, they are still very useful as picking up a uniform amount each time, so the meat balls (when shaped between hands) are a good uniform size. .
